500W IP66-rated DC-DC converters for harsh industrial environments.
The BAP 319-D4 series of industrial DC-DC converters use high efficiency power conversion topology to deliver up to 500W output power.
The converters operate from 24Vdc (21-29V), 48Vdc (42-56V), or 125Vd (105-145V). A 12Vdc input is possible with derating to lower output power. Outputs include 12V, 24V, 48V or 125Vdc. Custom input/output values are available on request. An optional redundancy diode allows parallel connection to achieve higher output power or N+1 redundancy. An output fail alarm is also available on request.
The BAP 319-D4 converters are designed for compliance with meet EN 62368-1 and equivalent safety standards. Electronic protection includes 1500Vdc input-output isolation, inrush current limiting, reverse polarity, over voltage, over temperature and short circuit conditions. The input and output are filtered for low noise. The input meets EN 55032 Class A with wide margins.
The converters are enclosed in a robust die cast aluminium D4 size IP66-rated package. The input and output have sealed cable glands, circular connectors or custom connections. Application-specific vents for pressure equalization ensure that pressure inside the enclosures is equalized, that the strain on connectors is minimized and the environmental seal remains impermeable. The D4 packages measure 230 x 113 x 448 mm (W x H x D) – these dimensions include mounting flanges and base plate.
The BAP 319-D4 converters are cooled by internal conduction to the walls of the IP66-rated enclosure and by base plate to an external chassis or cabinet wall. Additional convection occurs through the outside surface. If installed on a heat-sinking surface, cooling is further enhanced. The power supplies are rated for operation over a -25ºC to 55ºC temperature range for full specification. Wider temperature ranges are available as an option. The internal boards are ruggedized and conformal coated for immunity to high levels of shock and vibration.
