The DC-DC converters are designed for rugged industrial applications that require high input voltages and wide DC-input ranges. The units accept a nominal input voltage of 1100Vdc, and offer a 900Vdc to 1300Vdc operating input range, 1400Vdc peak input. The 350W converters deliver 24V, 36V, 48V, 110V, 125dc or custom outputs.

The HVI 500R-FX series high input voltage railway DC-DC converters meet the requirements of EN50155 for electronic equipment used on rolling stock. They accept 750Vdc input voltage (525V – 975Vdc range), which is the traction voltage typically required for mass transit vehicles such as trams, metros and light rail, and for mining locomotives.

The 2kW AC-DC Battery Charger and 300W, high input voltage DC-DC converter were used in the SRZero all-electric car (EV), the all-electric vehicle built by Racing Green Endurance (RGE) team of Imperial College (UK). The RGE team successfully drove their SRZero, long-range all-electric car along the 26,000 km Pan American Highway.
