Fully encapsulated AC-DC power supplies with a thermally conductive MIL-grade silicon rubber compound are resistant to shock, vibration, humidity, contaminants.

150W fully encapsulated units are entirely potted with a thermally conductive MIL-grade silicon rubber compound to ensure immunity to shock, vibration, humidity and environmental contaminants.
The PWI 100-P99L and PWI 150-P59 series of fully encapsulated AC-DC power supplies use field-proven topology to deliver up to 150W output power. The power supplies deliver a single regulated output of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, 48Vdc, 125Vdc or custom, and accept a universal input of 95Vac-264Vac. DC-input options are available on request. Regulation is better than 1% from no load to full load across all line and load conditions. Efficiency is a minimum of 80% at full load.
Encapsulation, cooling, temperature range
The PWI 100-P99L and PWI 150-P59 are fully encapsulated with a thermally conductive MIL-grade silicon rubber compound with a UL94V-0 flammability rating. This ensures protection from high levels of shock and vibration, moisture and environmental contaminants. Cooling by conduction via base plate to the customer heatsink or chassis. The cold plate temperature range is -40°C to +70°C for full specification (no derating). Please note: if a suitable heat-sinking surface is not available, we should consider an alternative conduction/convection cooled design.
Heavy-duty application environments
The units are suitable for operation in transportation, oil and gas, mining, industrial automation, utility and other extreme environments.

100W fully encapsulated units are immune to the effects of shock, vibration, humidity and environmental contaminants.
Safety standards, EMI and electronic protection
The power supplies comply with EN 62368-1 and equivalent UL and CSA international safety standards. Filtering on the input and output contributes to low output ripple and noise. The input meets EN 55032 Class A with wide margins; Class B is available on request. Comprehensive electronic protection includes 4300Vdc I/O isolation, inrush current limiting, rectangular current limiting with short-circuit protection on the output, thermal self-resetting shutdown and output over-voltage protection by double regulator loop completely stable and independent of main loop.
