The CTP 10K series modular DC-AC inverter system delivers up to 10,000VA output power with pure sine wave output voltage. The system provides a 3-phase continuous output of either 380Vrms or 400Vrms (line-to-line) at the required frequency. Phase-to-neutral voltages of 220Vrms or 240Vrms can also be used. The unit operates from either a 48V, 125V or 250Vdc input. Custom input/output combinations are readily available.
The input modules convert the input voltage to an internal DC voltage, which feeds the DC-AC output module. High frequency conversion enables compact construction and high efficiency. Remote shutdown or enable, and a Form C output fail alarm are available on request.
Applications
The 3-Phase inverters are suitable for testing 3-phase equipment in engineering labs, powering motor-driven equipment, pumps, air conditioners, air compressors and other industrial equipment.
EMI, safety standards, electronic protection
The input and output are filtered for low noise. The input meets the requirements of EN 55032 Class A for conducted noise and radiated emissions with generous margins. Comprehensive electronic protection includes inrush current limiting, reverse polarity protection, 2250Vdc input to chassis isolation, output current limiting with short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown with automatic recovery in case of insufficient cooling. The system meets C22.2 No. 107.1-01, UL 458, EN/UL 62368-1 and equivalent industrial standards.
Rugged mechanical construction
The inverter is constructed with up to three 3U7 x 19″ heavy-duty modules in a 9U x 19″ x 16″ rack-mount or chassis-mount assembly. This mechanical configuration may vary depending on customer input/output requirements. Heavy ruggedizing and conformal coating can be provided for applications where immunity to very high levels of shock and vibration, and moisture is required.
Cooling
High quality built-in fans provide sufficient airflow for operation over a 0°C to +50°C temperature range without de-rating. The fans draw air into the unit, and exhaust at the terminal side of the unit. Wider temperature ranges are available on request.
Protection of system fans from the effects of dust, dirt and other contaminants
If this unit is installed in a heavy-duty industrial environment with high levels of airborne contaminants, we recommend the addition of a custom built fan filter. This filter prevents dust, metallic dust, dirt and other airborne contaminants from being drawn into inverter system by their internal fans.
