100VA DC-AC sine wave inverter offers wide operating input range and three input voltages in a single unit


100VA Sine wave inverter operates from 24Vdc, 36Vdc and 48Vdc input sources – all in a single unit.

ABSOPULSE Electronics’ new CSI 100-3W-F1 series of microprocessor controlled DC-AC inverters deliver up to 100VA output power with pure sine wave output voltage. The inverters offer a wide operating input range of 20-60Vdc, which allows operation from 24Vdc, 36Vdc and 48Vdc input sources in a single unit. Since the inverter works on all three input voltages, operator error is minimized. This also simplifies stock keeping since just one model covers three input requirements. The inverters are suitable for operation in electrical utilities, power plants, telecom, industrial automation and control.

The CSI 100-3W-F1 sine wave inverters provide an isolated pure sine wave output of 115Vac/0.8Arms continuous at 60Hz or 400Hz or 230Vac/0.4Arms continuous at 50Hz. Inverter efficiency is typically 80% at full load. Regulation is better than 3% from zero load to full load; tighter regulation is available.

The inverters use ABSOPULSE field proven microprocessor controlled CSI 111 high frequency pulse width modulated (PMW) topology. The use of high frequency conversion enables compact construction, low weight and high efficiency. The rugged, chassis-mount units measure 114 x 51 x 201 mm.

Cooling is via baseplate to a heat-sinking surface and by natural convection. Heat generating components are installed on aluminum heatsink blocks which are thermally connected to the base plate. This also ensures exceptional mechanical ruggedness. The inverters are rated for operation over an 0°C to +50°C temperature range for full specification without the need for derating. Requirements for wider temperature ranges can be accommodated.

The input and output are filtered for low noise. Low output noise ensures that the system can be used to power sensitive electrical and electronic equipment in a wide range of applications. The input meets the requirements for EN 55022 Class A with wide margins. Class B is available on request. Comprehensive electronic protection includes inrush current limiting, over-voltage and overload with short-circuit protection. The units are designed to meet C22.2 No. 107.1-01, UL 458 and EN/UL60950-1 and equivalent industrial safety standards.
